The design of the ProMIG 200-model (coil of 15 kg, also suitable for a coil of 5 kg - supply of 2 coils) offers one of the best protection against external influences on the market. The rated current of this model of 200 A at a duty cycle of 70% is a result that allows intensive welding of 6 mm materials without risk of overheating. The power source can be separated from the welding wire feed mechanism for ease of use and safety. Features of the semi-automatic welding machines of the PATON™ Professional Series are the high-quality sealed metal wire feed, and the existing KZ-2 "EURO" type connector, which has become a standard worldwide, allowing the user to change the handle at will in the future.

Features

GAS-FREE WELDING - WELDING WITH SELF-CONSUMING WIRE
All PATON MIG/MAG welding machines are adapted for welding with self-protected wire. This welding, unlike traditional MIG/MAG welding, is performed without using shielding gas - however, it requires a special welding wire. The wire produces its own shielding which helps to protect the welding arc. Self-protecting wire suitable for PATON welding machines can be bought here - spools of 5 kg of wire fit all wire feeders.

SOLDERING - INDUCTANCE ADJUSTMENT
Paton MIG/MAG welders of the Standard and PRO series have brazing capabilities thanks to the three-step inductance change function. Thanks to inductance control, the arc characteristics can be optimised according to the thickness of the part to be welded. This function is needed to change the speed of the current when the arc voltage is changed. The thinner the part to be welded by MIG/MAG, the higher the induction should be (soft arc - less melting), for thicker parts the opposite (hard arc - more melting).

PULSE FUNCTION IN ALL METHODS
- PULSE in TIG welding - Full control of the heat entering the material - a great feature for welding stainless steels and acid-resistant steels,
- PULSE in MMA - easier transfer of material from electrode to weld pool, better quality of welded joint,
- Pulses in MIG/MAG welding - easier release of metal droplets from the end of the electrode wire, ability to adjust pulse current parameters. MIG welding with pulse is useful for welding stainless steels, acid-resistant steels and aluminium alloys. Moreover, pulse welding offers better parameters for brazing CuSi3

MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN STANDARD AND PRO SERIES MIG/MAG WELDING MACHINES

• duty cycle - PRO series MIG/MAG welders have a duty cycle of 70%, while the standard series has a duty cycle of 45% at the same welding current. Moreover, PRO series MIG/MAG welders achieve continuous duty cycle at a higher welding current than the standard series.
• Wire feeder - in the PRO series, there is a separate wire feeder that can handle coils of 15 to 18 kg. The feed can be separated from the source for convenience when welding other methods - such as MMA or TIG DC. The PRO series also has wire feeder versions with 2 coils or with 4 coils. In Standard series MIG/MAG welding machines, the wire feed unit is built into the welding unit, supports only spools up to 5 kg and always has two rollers.

Welding unit ProMIG 350 (15-4) 400 V PATON™ with water cooling designed for semi-automatic MIG/MAG arc welding, gas-insulated arc welding with TIG method and manual arc welding with MMA-insulated electrode, direct current (DC) with PULSE function. The use of a fully electronic control method in this series eliminates defects characteristic of multifunctional systems. In a fully electronic system, the control system has absolutely all the resources of the source, within the limits of its full power and regardless of which method is used.

The Professional series devices are designed for semi-industrial and industrial use, the source can be separated from the welding wire feed mechanism for convenience and safety. They offer an operating cycle of 70% at a full rated current of 350 A with no loss of performance or quality. This makes it possible to use solid wire of 0.6 ... 1.2 mm in the GMAW method and a coated electrode of 1.6 ... 6 mm (SMAW). The unit allows polarity change, allowing us to weld with a self-shielding wire (FCAW). For hazardous conditions, this unit incorporates an MMA Idle Voltage Derating Unit, with the ability to switch it on and off. Upon completion of the welding process, the voltage at the source terminals is reduced to a safe level of 12 V within 0.1 seconds.

These welding machine ProMIG 350 are protected against the penetration of foreign particles larger than 2.5 mm and against raindrops if the raindrops fall at an angle of not more than 60 degrees to the vertical surfaces of the welding machine. Welding is allowed at an outdoor temperature of -25 °С to 45 °С. The internal electrical and electronic elements of the welding device are protected against moisture, but are not protected against atmospheric condensate drops.

Characteristic of the PATON™ semi-automatic machines of the "Professional" series is the high-quality, sealed, metal wire feeder, as well as the existing KZ-2 "EURO" type connector, which has become a standard in the world, allowing the user to change the holder at his discretion in the future. In this model, the feeder is equipped with 4 wire feed rollers, we can use a spool of up to 18 kg and a 5-metre welding gun. • Fan stop - Adaptive fan, a solution that extends the life of the fan itself and also reduces the amount of dust in the unit itself. The speed of the fan increases at the beginning of the work and when it heats up, and decreases when the welder cools down.
• Last wire burn-back time (Burn-Back) - This function is designed to smoothly weld a weld crater, which may be formed in the weld pool as a result of electromagnetic blowing forces generated by the welding arc. The crater thus formed may be a source of future weld defects. This function should be activated by releasing the corresponding button on the welding torch at the end of the welding process. Then the movement of the welding torch should be terminated and the weld crater should be welded in the welding voltage decay position.
• Pulsed welding function - This function is designed to simplify the control of a welding process in different spatial welding positions, with the exception of a flat welding position. This function is also used when welding non-ferrous metals. When this function is activated, the application of pulse welding current improves the mixing of molten metals in the weld area and causes forced action on the transfer of molten metal droplets in the weld pool, improving the stability of weld formation and the stability of the welding process.
• Inductance control function - Inductance control allows the arc characteristics to be optimised as a function of the welded thickness element and the welding method and conditions. This function is needed to change the slew rate of the current when the arc voltage changes. The thinner the element to be welded using the with MIG/MAG method, the higher the inductance (soft arc - less fusion), for thick elements the other way round (hard arc - greater embedding).
