Welding unit ProMIG 350 (15-4) 400 V PATON™ with water cooling designed for semi-automatic MIG/MAG arc welding, gas-insulated arc welding with TIG method and manual arc welding with MMA-insulated electrode, direct current (DC) with PULSE function. The use of a fully electronic control method in this series eliminates defects characteristic of multifunctional systems. In a fully electronic system, the control system has absolutely all the resources of the source, within the limits of its full power and regardless of which method is used.
The Professional series devices are designed for semi-industrial and industrial use, the source can be separated from the welding wire feed mechanism for convenience and safety. They offer an operating cycle of 70% at a full rated current of 350 A with no loss of performance or quality. This makes it possible to use solid wire of 0.6 ... 1.2 mm in the GMAW method and a coated electrode of 1.6 ... 6 mm (SMAW). The unit allows polarity change, allowing us to weld with a self-shielding wire (FCAW). For hazardous conditions, this unit incorporates an MMA Idle Voltage Derating Unit, with the ability to switch it on and off. Upon completion of the welding process, the voltage at the source terminals is reduced to a safe level of 12 V within 0.1 seconds.
These welding machine ProMIG 350 are protected against the penetration of foreign particles larger than 2.5 mm and against raindrops if the raindrops fall at an angle of not more than 60 degrees to the vertical surfaces of the welding machine. Welding is allowed at an outdoor temperature of -25 °С to 45 °С. The internal electrical and electronic elements of the welding device are protected against moisture, but are not protected against atmospheric condensate drops.

Features
- Fan stop - Adaptive fan, a solution that extends the life of the fan itself and also reduces the amount of dust in the unit itself. The speed of the fan increases at the beginning of the work and when it heats up, and decreases when the welder cools down.
- Last wire burn-back time (Burn-Back) - This function is designed to smoothly weld a weld crater, which may be formed in the weld pool as a result of electromagnetic blowing forces generated by the welding arc. The crater thus formed may be a source of future weld defects. This function should be activated by releasing the corresponding button on the welding torch at the end of the welding process. Then the movement of the welding torch should be terminated and the weld crater should be welded in the welding voltage decay position.
- Pulsed welding function - This function is designed to simplify the control of a welding process in different spatial welding positions, with the exception of a flat welding position. This function is also used when welding non-ferrous metals. When this function is activated, the application of pulse welding current improves the mixing of molten metals in the weld area and causes forced action on the transfer of molten metal droplets in the weld pool, improving the stability of weld formation and the stability of the welding process.
- Inductance control function - Inductance control allows the arc characteristics to be optimised as a function of the welded thickness element and the welding method and conditions. This function is needed to change the slew rate of the current when the arc voltage changes. The thinner the element to be welded using the with MIG/MAG method, the higher the inductance (soft arc - less fusion), for thick elements the other way round (hard arc - greater embedding).
